Tillering: a Foraged-Based Farm
Our family farm provides heritage pork & grass-fed beef direct to consumers and organizes seasonal events to encourage fellowship, restore generational wisdom, and build community. We have chosen to run a smaller "closed herd" operation. We feel owning our own breeding stock allows us to be extremely aware of the health of our animals and, in turn, the products we are offering for sale. We are looking forward to our second summer of farmers markets because it allows us the chance to speak directly with customers about our work. Farming is hard work. Being surrounded by people who are making an intentional effort to buy locally is an encouragement to keep at it.
